How to Donate and Help
It’s easy to donate Children’s Cancer Group of Florida. All you need to do to make a donation is telephone us, visit us, or mail us your donation. We accept donations in a variety of formats; monetary donations can be made over the phone by credit card, debit card, or bank account. You can also fax us a payment form with your information; call the office if this is your preferred method, and we’ll send out a faxable form.
You can also visit our office to make your donation in person.
We also accept non-monetary donations. If you have items that you wish to donate to us, either for our auctions or simply to pass on to children, we ask that you drop them off at our location. In limited instances we may be able to pick up items from your home. This is limited to large items that wouldn’t be easy to deliver, like furniture or appliances. Our pickups occur twice monthly, so you may be asked to hold on to your item for some time.
All items should be in good condition, if not new condition. Heavily damaged items, soiled items, or items that cannot be sterilized or washed will not be accepted. While we are thankful for donations of all items, only items that can be sterilized can be passed on to others.
Before purchasing gifts for sick children, please contact us directly to request our gifting list. We maintain a list of items that local children have requested; you are welcome to pick one or more items from the list. We ask that you do not deliver items without clearing them with our receptionists first, as we may not be able to accept them. Because of the nature of most cancer treatments, it is vital that all items are brand-new and in the package. Used items are not accepted for sick children because of the risk that germs carried on them can have for children with lowered white blood cell counts.
