The Children’s Cancer Group Florida began out of a desire to raise money for local children who were suffering from cancer. Initially, fundraising was situated around raising funds for treatments and quality of life for these children. Today, our charity has a much wider mission. Not only do we raise funds for treatments, lifestyle maintenance, and personal enjoyment, we also raise funding for local Florida universities to research pediatric cancers.
In 2011, the Children’s Cancer Group of Florida was finally able to meet their $1 million per year goal. In 2012, we exceeded this; over $2 million was raised, each dollar providing valuable resources to local families. In 2013, $2.2 million was raised, 500,000 of which was donated directly to Florida State University for research. Results for 2014 are not in yet, but are projected to exceed $3 million.
Thanks to donors like you, we continue to be able to do good in the field of pediatric cancer. Through your help, we hope to continue the success. We also hope to be able to branch out on a national level, partly why this website has been developed. We encourage everyone to share our website and follow our events via our blog.
